Description
This is hand - polished free form crystalline Eudialyte piece, stone for massage and healing. There are old rumours circulating regarding radioactive minerals from Khibiny mountains, especially Eudialyte.
In fact, there are few spots exist with pegmatite veins containing some high activity specimens, primarily thorium minerals, all of them known and never use for anything like jewellery or cutting.
I always have modern detector with me and scanning new sites before pick anything from the ground.
All rocks I'm selling have passed scanning long before I list them in shop , so you can be sure that they are absolutely safe to wear or place in your house.
Origin: Khibiny massif, Kola peninsula, Russia.

The meaning of the name of this gemstone comes from the Greek words for 'easy' and 'to dissolve'. Long ago it was found that eudialyte stone was easy to dissolve in acid. The other name for this mineral is almandine spar, which refers to its color.
Its chemical composition is complex. In fact it is sodium calcium cerium iron manganese zirconium silicate hydroxide chloride. Its molecular structure is totally unique, because crystals of eudialyte are usually embedded in the host rock, surrounded by other minerals (such as apatite, aegirine, nepheline and feldspar) and not showing any hint of a crystal form. The color of eudialyte varies from yellow (rarely) to red, magenta, brown and purple. In general it may be said that the color of eudialyte may be all shades of berry juice. The mineral was discovered in the early 19th century, and today the three deposits of it are known: the first one is in the United States, the second one is in Greenland, and the third one is in Russia, on the Kola peninsula.
