AL MAR SPECIAL FORCES SERE ATTACK 3001-A – SEKI, JAPAN:Al Mar (AMK) collectors. Listed for your consideration is a rare Al Mar 3001-A Sere Attack S.F. Emblem Model made in the late 1970s.
The design-was initiated by Colonel Nick Rowe, creator of the Special Operations Command's SERE concept (Survive, Escape, Resistance, Evasion) School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Sere 3000 Series became the first custom-sized combat folders capable of meeting the demands required in survival situations. AMK added two additional sizes (one medium size - 3002-A and one larger - 3003-A, to the line to meet the different needs of military and civilian users. The blade streel is
Aus-6 with a length of 3.00”, and an overall length of 4.75”. Weighs just 3.6 ounces The steel bolster is engraved with “De Oppressor Liber” (to Free from Oppression) - logo of the Special Forces. Handle scales are green (appears brown) micarta. The handle has brass liners and a lanyard hole. The locking system is lock-back. all have lock-back locking systems. It comes with a SOG nylon sheath. Condition Grade is excellent – still has original factory sharpening and a solid lock up. No blade-wobble. A great collectible for you Al Mar fans.
