Bixbyite & Pink Topaz on matrix Very Rare combination Solar Wind Mine Utah

Description

Pink Topaz and Bixbyite nested in a rhyolite lithophyse. The Bixbyite exhibits numerous corner facets to its basic cubic crystal form and, as expected, shows a highly vitreous, black, metallic luster. The Pink Topaz crystal is embedded in the matrix wall on one end; the other termination seems to be cleaved off. The Bixbyite crystal measures 0.5 cm.; the Pink Topaz measures 1.0 cm. in length. The specimen was collected from the Solar Wind Claim in the Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah in 2018. The overall dimensions of the miniature specimen on matrix is 4.5 x 4.1 x 2.9. cm.
