c.1967 WESTERN Boulder BOWIE KNIFE w/sheath 4th Version VIETNAM Unsharpened

Description

This is a Western Bowie Knife that dates to 1967 and is considered by collectors to be a Version 4.   Carbon steel blade is unsharpened but has seen a little carry and use with only some light scuff marks and a little sheath rash. A very clean blade. It's Guard-marked: WESTERN BOULDER COLO USA on the front and BOWIE on the back.
Thick brass S-shaped guard has great patina.  Handles are solid Rosewood, pinned to the full tang by 3 brass pins.  No chips or cracks in the wood.  Original leather sheath with the dangler belt loop still intact.  Often they are removed over the years.  This knife came from an estate sale in Northern NH and story was it did come down from a Vietnam Vet. No way of knowing if he carried it during his time there but most likely did.
