  • Condition: This old German Eye Brand Fixed Blade has been carried, used and sharpened but not a lot of either. There is some patina and light staining. Check it all out in the photos.

    TOTAL NUMBER OF KNIVES :  1
    MAKER :   German Eye Brand by Carl Schlieper
    PATTERN :   Sheriff Knife Fixed Blade Bowie Pattern with original leather sheath.
    LENGTH :   Blade length is 6 inches and the OAL is 10½ inches.
    HANDLES :   Leather Ring with with nickel silver or stainless spacers.  There are no handle problems. Guard and pommel are both tight.
    TANG STAMPS :   The ricasso is stamped with the Eye Logo and the other side of the ricasso is stamped with the old straight line stamp of CARL SCHLIEPER (over) SOLINGEN (over) GERMANY.
    CONDITION :   Used and sharpened but not much of either. There is patina and some light staining.
    DAMAGE :   Normal usage and light sharpening.

    BLADE WEAR :   None
    SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH :   There is no shield and the blade is deeply stamped SHERIFF KNIFE.
