    Description

    DISPOSING (SLOWLY) OF A VERY LARGE, LIFELONG COLLECTION OF POCKET
    KNIVES. ONLY
    POSTING A COUPLE A DAY SO BOOKMARK ME FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
    NOTE - no attempt has been made to polish, clean or otherwise make this knife more attractive for photos.
    A vintage Western Model 36 hunting knife with the date stamp “I” for 1985.
    Measures approximately 10 1/8 inches long overall, tip to pommel end. Blade measures approximately 5 1/2 inches long, tip to cross guard. Obverse ricasso stamped “Western USA W36 I”. Brass cross guard. Nicely grained wood scales secured by two brass pins with Black-White-Red-Black spacers. Aluminum bird’s head pommel. Good brown leather sheath, contemporary but possibly not original. Blade good with staining and light pitting to first quarter from point. Grips good. Light wear to pommel.
