Kershaw 1005 Knife Japan Oregon Survival / /Hunting W/ Sheath Kit VINTAGE RARE.
- The 80's were all about survival knives with accessories and compass, a lot of survival knives where created, most of them were Chinese trash, then Kershaw came up in 1986 with this thick strong knife and
it won best survival knife of the year.
- This knife was the real deal nobody knows why it was made for just 2 years 1986 to 1987.
- It comes with most or all the original contents. Unfortunately I haven't being able to find the list of the original contents so I am not sure if something is missing. (it looks like everything is inside).
-The tube inside of the knife got a red color because the matches that were inside fadeout, I am pretty sure it can be cleaned.
- The back of the knife has a very aggressive
6.5mm thick
saw that it will cut bone or wood.
- There is NO play with the encapsulated Full tang body.
- Compas still works and points to the North.
- The blade doesn't  have nicks or any damage, and it hasn't being sharped witch is good because it can be taken to a specialist to be sharpen.
- Kershaw did a really good job with the strong sheath with velcro pockets.
- The cap of the knife is so strong that it can be used as a hammer.
- This knife has incredible sentimental, but I am getting old and I cannot take it with me. I am selling in what is worth to me, I hope you can buy if what is worth to you.
