    MSA pocket safety axe no. 4(marked back of head) with the original brown leather sheath.This was manufactured 1902-1910. Guard is marked(see picture) , sheath has the brass finish pinwheel snap and a no. 4 over the snap. axe is pictured on page 17 of the Marbles enclyopedia and the sheath on page 92.Metal is dark with scattered pitting but the axe is sound.Wood handle has some minor age cracks.Free domestic shipping by US priority mail.
