Rare 1940-65 CASE USA VINTAGE 9" HUNTING SKINNING KNIFE & CASE XX LEATHER SHEATH

"Mirror-like" vintage steel blade
...just right for hunting game or collecting.
This beautiful USA factory made knife
is in
"Exceptionally
Good Condition"
especially for being decades old.
The companion vintage
CASE  XX
Leather Sheath
offers secure carrying
and the combo is from my personal knife collection.
According to the reference book,
"Official Collectors Knives" the trademark blade stamping
for this
vintage B
lock lettered
CASE knife... indicates the production date was likely
during
1940  to 1965 era.
Remember “Back in the day” these older knives were purchased to be used…
Not
collected, making this great condition difficult to find.

This blade is stamped on one side only with the
CASE factory's early Block Lettering:

This decades old Block lettered
CASE
knife
has a
"mirror-like" steel fixed blade
and offers a handy
1" long
notched thumb rest,
for better blade control.
The hunting / skinning blade has an upswept
2  3/16" long
false top edge
that could be sharpened, if desired.
The
bright
clip-point blade
is in
"
Exceptionally Good Condition"
for its age
.
There are
some signs of previous light sharpening or short honing marks, and a couple tiny surface age specks that I had to turn the blade just right in order to see.
This
reflective
5  1/16"
long hunting blade
is designed with
Blood Grooves, or fullers.
There i

No looseness on the CASE knife
, and
No blade edge nicks.
I'll leave any re-sharpening up to the new owner.

great shape
.
There is a
shiny Aluminum pommel
and
secure metal half-guard,
and these factory fittings are also in
Exceptionally Go
od
vintage condition.
Everything is tight
with
No movement,
and t
he stacked leather handle has a few light signs of handling, but the knife has been carefully stored for years.
T
he
USA-made slender
bowie
offers a
good area to
grip
plus a
bright  5  1/16" long
fixed blade.

SHEATH

The
CASE XX
leather sheath
is included and
has
great
intact
stitching
.
There is a
large
belt loop,  secure metal rivets,
and a
very good working fastening strap w/ metal
snap
. This vintage dark brown
leather sheath has some signs of handling, surface scuffs, and some wrinkles from former use.
It is

actory tooled on the front
with
the famous CASE lines
and
clearly stamped
Case XX .  This companion vintage leather sheath
measures 9  1/4" long
and
offers secure carrying of the knife in the field
.
