The beautiful & durable Black composite handle Bowie

clip-point steel
blade.
This early CASE XX hunting / skinning / survival knife comes with the
vintage b
lack leather sheath.
According to the reference book, "Official Collectors KNIVES"  the blade stamping indicates the
date of manufacturing is likely between
1965 and 1980
Remember “Back in their day” these older knives were purchased to be used…
Not
collected, making a vintage knife in Very Good condition difficult to find.

:
This early
American classic CASE XX knife
has a
reflective steel hunting/ skinning blade
with
a
3  1/8" inch long
false top edge.
The
5" long steel  blade has
No blade edge nicks
and I'll leave any re-sharpening up to the new owner.  This bright fixed blade does have thin some surface scratches and some short honing marks from previous light use.
There is
No looseness
on this
223-5 clip-point steel blade
and it features an
upswept
1  1/8" long serrated
thumb rest,
for better blade control.
This great vintage hunting Bowie is just waiting for the right person to appreciate its early CASE XX history and make the knife their own

HANDLE
:
The
durable
black composite handle
has secure
Aluminum and black composite
spacers
at each end.
The
flat-head Aluminum pommel is in G
reat Vintage Condition
and the
finger guard
is designed to help with a secure grip.
This smooth composite handle material features
three factory finger grooves
for a tight hold
. The shiny pommel end, finger guard, and black composite handle have some signs of light usage, normal light handling for the age and tiny surface scuffs.
This early CASE XX  USA hunting knife feels well balanced and solid, when held in your hand.

SHEATH
:
The companion
black
leather sheath
is included and has
great
intact stitching
,  a
large belt loop
,  secure
metal rivets
, and
stiff throat area.
There is also a handy
belt slot
on the back and
working
fastening strap w/ metal snap.
The black leather area on the 'top fold surface' has some surface wear (as shown) and this large belt loop is still functional. This vintage sheath shows normal signs of light handling/some wear and light surface scuffs consistent for the age.
This companion black leather sheath measures 10  3/8"inches long
and
compliments the black composite handle
CASE knife.
