Here we have a rare vintage double knife set
made in Solingen, Germany,
with finely
decorated handles, housed in its original double pocket leather sheath. Both knives are in
very good overall conditions. All parts are firmly attached. Rigid and strong, no wobble.
The stainless steel fixed blades are stamped "Rostfrei / Solingen" and "Rostfrei / Inoxydable".
The original sheath is marked "Steinpass" which refers to a mountain pass in the Alps,
located in the Bavarian district
in Germany
, near the border with Austria.
I have provided 17 close-up pictures trying to show as many details as possible: dirt, patina,
oxidation,
paint lost, plating wear,
cracks, scratches, rubs, nicks, or any other blemishes.
