RARE LARGE LITHIOPHILITE CRYSTAL - 6.7 cm - STEWART MINE, CALIFORNIA 26310RARE LARGE LITHIOPHILITE CRYSTAL - 6.7 cm - STEWART MINE, CALIFORNIA
Lithiophilite is an uncommon phosphate of lithium and manganese. We offer a good small cabinet example from the Stewart Mine in Southern California.
Large crystals of lithiophilite are found at this mine, but they are horribly fractured from millions of years of seismic activity. Because they are not beautiful and valuable like the tourmaline and beryl crystals found there, nobody bothers to reconstruct them. This specimen has a couple of undamaged crystal faces.
