    JURASSIC TODILTO LIMESTONE
    (uranium)
    MINERAL ROCK
    .00 plus .40 shipping       9.3 oz weight
    314 grams
The rock was found, on the ground,
    surface
20 miles NW of Grants NM
    .
It was prospected during August 2019.
Its activity level is in the faster
    range,
relative to other similar natural rocks and
above that of FiestaWare red plates.
Measurement was done with a Ludlum
    2200 geiger-scaler, the most accurate
    geiger instrument now available. Its
measured response rate is 206k CPM,
which is approximately 6.9 times that
    measured from FiestaWare ceramic
dinner plates crafted during the Fiesta-
    are uranium era,
    1936-1943. The
white dot, seen in photos, identifies
the surface area with fastest activity.
    The yellow color,
    which is abundant on the
    rock's
    surfaces
    and its many sedimentary
    layers,
    comes from
    uranium oxide (U3O8)
    which
    is found throughout this rock.
    The
image in the first photo can be seen as
the fossilized head image of a young
    dinosaur; apply your imagination!  Other
    fossiled dinosaur skeletons, found among
uranium rocks, are displayed at the NM
    Uranium Mining Museum at downtown
    Grants NM.
Weight of rock:  9.3 oz  (261 grams)
    WHAT TYPE OF MINERAL
    IS THE ROCK?
It is likely Jurassic todilto limestone uranium,
the most common uranium-bearing mineral at
    this uranium field.
    During the Jurassic era,
200 million to 146 million years ago, the canyon
was a very large lake. When dinosaurs drowned
in the lake (possibly chased into the water by
    predators),
    their carcasses
    were fossilized. Today,
the Northwestern Cliffs at the canyon are part
    of the famed
    Morrison Formation
    , known for
    rich deposits of
    uranium and dinosaur fossils.
Advice from geologists who can identify this ore
    more precisely will be appreciated.
    I will enclose a
published geology journal article that asserts this
    canyon to be the
    world center of "uranium-in-
    limestone"
    rocks
    .
It is part of the "New
Mexico Uranium Belt;"  65% of all uranium
ore ever produced in the USA came from
mines located within 60 miles of this site.
This handsome rock was made in USA!
    NEW MEXICO: TOP U.S. STATE
    FOR URANIUM MINING
Historically, more uranium has been mined in
New Mexico than in any other state. WYOMING
has richer uranium reserves, but they are too
deep underground for large-scale mining to
    be economically practical. VIRGINIA has
an absolutely gigantic uranium reserve at
Coles Hill VA, but in November 2019, the
    U.S. Supreme Court upheld Virginia's
state law that bans any uranium mining.
    COLORADO's earliest (1910) uranium mines
were at Uravan, but the wooden structures
    that identified Uravan's 300 abandoned
    underground mines have been completely
    demolished
    by the EPA
    since April 2018,
    making it
    more difficult
    for rock-hounds to
find the mines' piles of waste uranium rocks.
    ALL FEDERAL REGULATIONS
    ABOUT URANIUM ROCKS
    ARE CORRECTLY OBEYED
    (1) Bureau of Land Management (BLM):
Collection of rocks is okay for rock
    hounds; ATM vehicles are not allowed;
daily limits on weight of rocks allowed.
    (2) Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC):
    No manufacturing from rocks allowed
    without NRC advance license; correct
    labeling
    ; medical health safety statement.
    (3) U.S. Post Office (USPS): Double-
box packaging of rocks; shielding of
    rocks; ground transport; no exports
    allowed to any other countries.
    BONUS 40-MINUTE DVD VIDEO,
    NOT FOUND ON YOUTUBE!
Enclosed with the uranium rock will be
my original DVD video disk, dated March
    2017 and July 2019.  This 40-minute
video provides a narrated video tour of
the NM locale where many rocks can be
found through prospecting. This exclusive DVD
    video program is
    enclosed at no extra cost.
    (This
    video
    is
    NOT
    to be uploaded to YouTube.)
    ALL GOVERNMENTAL AND POSTAL
    REGULATIONS
    ARE FOLLOWED
These regulations allow rock collectors to
own and to mail natural uranium rocks. The
federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
owns uranium fields and allows hobbyist "rock
    hounds"
to gather rocks at those fields. The
rocks must be properly labeled, and must be
double-boxed when mailed.  The federal Nuclear
Regulatory Commission (NRC) does not allow manufacturing
of anything from the rocks without an advance
    NRC license.
The rock parcels can be mailed
    to addresses within the
    USA but are
    NOT
    allowed to be exported
    to any foreign country.
