  • Condition: Up for auction is this vintage Gutmann Cutlery Co. (G. C. Co.) Model # 383 Fixed Blade Hunting Knife With Leather Stacked Ring Handle. The cutting edge appears to be the factory edge. In other words, the cutting edge has never been sharpened after it left the factory years ago (see pics). The cutting edge has some very very minor chips and nicks on it (see pics). The stacked leather handle is still tight, not loose at all. The aluminum pommel and brass guard are a little loose at all. And there's a very very small hole in the top part of the aluminum pommel also (see pics). On the tang you can see: "G. C. CO JAPAN 383" (see pics). The high carbon steel blade has stains on it that you usually see on a vintage steel blade like this blade is (see pics). There's a very slight curve to the blade also (see last pic). The blade of the knife is 6" long. The overall length of the knife is 11" long.
