The
blade's trademark stampings
and
early factory design
indicate that this
Western knife
was likely produced
between 1935 -
1950
Remember "back in their day" these early knives were purchased to be used…

collected, making hunting knives in
Great Vintage

difficult to find.

BLADE:
This early
Western small-game knife
has a
pointed tip,  looks straight,
and there are
No blade edge nicks.
The slender hunting / skinning blade features a
1   5/8"
long
top false edge,
which could
be sharpened if desired
.
The
"mirror-like"
clip-point blade
has some light honing surface marks and tiny mild
patina surface specks, consistent for the age.
I'll leave any re-sharpening up to the new owner.

One classic
Western U.S.A. bird / trout hunting knife
that has and easy to grip
stacked
leather washer handle.
The vintage leather handle is designed with c
omposite spacers at each end...
which are tight.
There is a
secure
Aluminum bird's head style pommel
and
a
metal half-guard
which
measures
7/8" long...
and the knife has
No looseness.
The stacked leather washer handle has normal signs of handling/usage, mild aging or light surface wear.
This
Western small-game knife
is just waiting for the next person to appreciate its early USA history and make it their own.

The vintage Western Boulder, Colorado USA hunting / skinning knife feels well balanced and solid when held in your hand.
SHEATH
:
The companion
leather sheath (or case) is included and has
good
intact stitching.
The sheath
measures  7  7/8" long
and has
secure metal rivet
s,
intact belt slot,
stiff throat area,
and
secure fastening strap
with a
good
metal snap
. This handsome vintage sheath has some signs of former light handling /usage such as some light surface scuffs. There is one rivet at the throat area that has some corrosion, and the tiny area around it has some wear, but all is secure and functional.
The vintage
leather sheath
has a good snug fit for the Western fixed blade knife and offers secure carrying in the field.

a lot of character and vintage appeal...with that "patina of time" appearance not yet achieved with newer knives
